The McIntyre Tile Company was founded in 1972 in Healdsburg, California, which is located in the heart of the Sonoma County wine country. The ceramics team spent a year developing their original stoneware field tiles that were prized by San Francisco architects and designers for their warm, earthy look and color character. McIntyre is the only tile manufacturer that uses the same high fired, cone 10 - reduction process that is used in fine ceramic studios. The company’s vision continues to be the successful translation of the studio pottery approach into field, trim and decorative tiles.
