ALKCO was founded in 1946 by Al Kurtzon. In 1951 Alkco invented the miniature undercabinet T5 fluorescent luminaire known as the “Little Inch”, which to this day sets the standard for quality undercabinet lighting. ALKCO’s mission is to maintain its industry position as an innovative manufacturer of miniaturized undercabinet and display lighting, medical luminaries, exit and signage products.
