In 2001, a 17-month test, funded by the United States Department of Energy, was conducted and monitored by The Oak Ridge National Laboratory on the D’MAND KONTROLS® Systems to examine water and energy savings. It was concluded that all of the above features were realized

2. Memory system for receiving and sending control signals
3. The ability to sense heat that registers temperature changes
4. Bluetooth remote and other electronic signals
The focus of ACT, Inc. is to develop electronic controls for controlled distribution of hot water in existing and new building construction. Sustainable plumbing design systems (Structured Plumbing®), which use controls to distribute hot water when needed, is now the direction of new Codes and Compliances. These products can be easily retrofitted in existing residential and commercial structures.
