ENGLISHCAST® is made from finely ground volcanic limestone mixed with resin. As the stone-rich alternative to both cast iron and acrylic it is 100% one piece, hand finished and packed with naturally desirable properties:

Processing ENGLISHCAST® requires a fraction of the energy used in the furnace production of molten metal and enamel, so a Victoria + Albert bathtub requires less energy to manufacture than cast-iron. ENGLISHCAST® also uses significantly less energy than the high-heat ovens that are essential to form the plastic sheets used on acrylic tubs. In addition, all Victoria + Albert bathtubs are hand-finished by craftsmen, reducing reliance on non-renewable resources.
