Transpo has been successful in working with way finding sign design firms advising them on the structural adequacy of it’s Pole-Safe and Break-Safe breakaway support systems. Unique physical properties and performance gives designers the greatest flexibility in sizing poles for specific lighting requirements.

Transpo's breakaway support systems have been vehicle crash-tested in accordance with NCHRP Report 350, and is approved for use on all FHWA funded projects. In addition to superior safety performance, Transpo's breakaway support systems provide high structural load-carrying capacity. Extensive finite element analysis and simulated wind-load testing has been used to optimize the system for maximum loading conditions.
